One of our most rewarding experiences is reading the reviews of those that come to Stiletto Airpark

I had a neat experience today at Stiletto Airpark. Arriving at their sprawling, maybe 100,000 sq ft facility was impressive—you walk first through a state-of-the-art manufacturing space where a new type of LSA is being built. Then, almost like stepping through a time machine, you enter a hangar full of pristine vintage airplanes of every kind. Sitting proudly among them was the clean, well-kept Cessna 140 that would soon be mine to get dirty. The day began with about an hour of ground instruction that struck the perfect balance of humor, seriousness, and rapport-building. By the time we pushed the airplane out of the hangar, I felt both at ease and focused. Taxiing the little bird on the pampered grass strip was straightforward—tight, responsive controls made it feel alive and well-tuned. As we rolled toward the departure end, the field revealed its unique character: a flat table-top surface that drops into a gradual descent before rounding back out to flat again. It was a preview of the kind of flying we were about to do. The run-up went as smoothly as the glossy paint on her fuselage, and then it was time to take to the skies. Advancing the throttle and feeding in back-pressure, I felt the airplane gather itself, then I pushed forward slightly to level, riding the slope upward. The ground fell away as we climbed the natural contours of the airfield, and just as the runway rounded into its plateau, we left earth behind and began to climb into the open sky. From there the real training began. We worked through multiple takeoffs and landings in gusty conditions, each one testing my timing, rudder work, and ability to stay ahead of the airplane. The Cessna 140 made me earn every inch, but the instructor’s steady guidance and clear coaching made the challenges manageable—and fun. By the end, I had gained both skill and confidence, coming away with a real sense of proficiency. It was the kind of flying that reminds you why you love it in the first place. Thanks Guys!

I’m a 2000+ Commercial Pilot with 20years of experience in many makes and models. However, I didnt have the opportunity of a Tailwheel Endorsement. For my 65th birthday, (your’re never too old to learn), I went to Stiletto Airpark and flew with Bryan Walker CFII. After multiple crosswind landings, I soloed this afternoon. I was amazed at how much I didn’t know. Bryan was very professional and I completely enjoyed learning how to fly all over again…the Wright way! Lol I also found their fleet of multiple aircraft exceptional and in perfect mechanical condition. Not to mention the rates are very reasonable. Thx for a fantastic experience at Stiletto Airpark!
