ABOUT STILETTO AIRPARK · BERTRAM, TEXAS
A flight school
built around
the flying.
At XS79, classic aircraft, an active grass runway and direct access to open airspace create a different kind of training day.
THE STILETTO DIFFERENCE
Real airplanes reward precision. A real airfield gives you room to learn it.
Stiletto Airpark is a private airfield and flight school in Bertram, Texas, serving pilots across Central Texas. Training takes place at a Class G, non-towered airport with a 3,000-foot hard-packed grass runway.
The environment is deliberately uncomplicated: multiple instructors, nearby practice areas and a diverse 11-aircraft fleet that ranges from polished postwar taildraggers to IFR-equipped and multi-engine aircraft.
Learn the rudder
Tailwheel and soft-field training develop directional control, crosswind judgment and energy management in ways that translate to every airplane.
Stay in the airplane
No tower and fast access to practice areas mean less of a lesson is spent waiting, taxiing or commuting.
Keep moving forward
Discovery flights, Sport Pilot, Private Pilot, Instrument, multi-engine and specialty programs give students a path beyond a single endorsement.
FLIGHT TRAINING NEAR AUSTIN
Central Texas flying, without the big-airport routine.
Stiletto’s Bertram location offers a practical home base for pilots looking for flight training in the greater Austin and Hill Country region. Students can work toward a first certificate, add an instrument rating, build multi-engine time or return to the fundamentals in a classic taildragger.
Aircraft availability, prerequisites and pricing vary by program. The flight desk can help you choose a starting point before you make the drive.
