Instrument Flight Training aircraft at Stiletto Airpark

Train in an IFR-equipped Cessna 172 with Garmin avionics and digital displays, positioned near several approach environments.

Stiletto’s 1956 Cessna 172 is WAAS GPS equipped with a Garmin GNX 375, dual GI-275 displays and a Garmin GNC 255 NAV/COMM. The airpark is positioned between five nearby airports offering RNAV (LPV), VOR-A, ILS and localizer approaches.

Instrument training departs from Stiletto Airpark XS79 in Bertram, Texas, northwest of Austin, for convenient access to several Central Texas approach environments.

Those approach environments are available within roughly a five-minute flight, reducing transit time and keeping more of each lesson focused on instrument training.
